Our Story

Built by people who've lived it.

Danah and Joe Meyer are parents, former educators, and the founders of Open Meadow. We know what it feels like to carry a hundred small decisions at once—while trying to stay present for the children, families, and students depending on you.

Across parenthood and education, we kept encountering the same problem: too many tools meant to help actually create more work. They scatter information, add friction, and demand time from people who already have too little of it.

We founded Open Meadow to build something different: calm, thoughtful technology for the people who care for, teach, and help others grow. Our products are designed to lighten the mental load, bring clarity to complexity, and make more room for the work—and the people—that matter most.

Our first project was ReadyNest, a more personal way to build a baby registry. Today, Open Meadow is growing into a family of products, including Lumerell for educators and schools and MeadowWise for families. Different tools, built for different parts of life, all rooted in the same promise: technology should understand the life around it—and leave people feeling more capable, supported, and free to be present.
